34.51 mi in 02:43:48 hours at 12.64 mi/h on Trek .. [Cycling] Finished work at 3 so I decided to have a decent ride to the golf club to sign on for next weeks comp. I headed west from Dunston and over the Scotswood Bridge then along Scotswood road and down onto the cycleway along the river. It was then straight under all the bridges and along the Walker ribverfront to Wallsend and on the the Tyne Tunnel - a quick check and it was only 4 and I had another 2 hours to get to Heworth. So I headed past the Tunnel and on to North Shileds Ferry in time for the 4:30 ferry across to South Shields. Next I headed along the coast and a fast ride meant I reached oker pier in no time before following the river to North Hylton. Up along Hylton Castle Road and over the A19 onto Folloingsby Lane and I was at heworth Golf Club by 6pm - just in time to sign up for Club Championship next week.
