Thu, Jan 26, 2012 - 7.52 mi [Cycling] 7.52 mi in 00:32:21 hours at 13.95 mi/h on Trek .. [Cycling] Cycle home from a drop off at Washington services - up through Springwell where a car almost sideswiped me trying to overtake whilst a bus was coming the other way - I then had a fast descent down Leam Lane and just when I thought I was home on York Avenue roundabout I wasa well lit up and arm out turning right when a car roared round the roundabout doing about 40mph - had I continued I think I would have been a bit squashed - always alert and aware on my bike I quickly diverted myself down York avenue and a collision was averted ... But ONLY by my action as the car didin't slow in the slightest
