[Cycling] 2013 #025 : Cycle down York Avenue after almost being hit within the first half mile when a car coming down the slip road decided he didn't want to stop at the roundabout despite the fact I was on it & straight in front of him - I couldn't believe he shot straight out doing probably 20 - 30 mph and had I not seen him & swerved I think he would have broadsided me - as it happens I'm still not sure how he missed my back wheel.
Anyway I continued to Jarrow then along Victoria Road through Hebburn & Pelaw to heworth Roundabout from where I picked my way through Heworth past the golf course and along Follingsby Lane to Boldon and home.
The Lane was quite flooded in places with many streams coming off the melting snow on the fields.
Weather Dry, Sunny , Temp 39 - 42 F , Wind = 15mph SW
